How the estimate is calculated
The calculator starts with the current BTC/USD reference value. It subtracts the entered spread first, then calculates the trading fee on the remaining amount, and finally subtracts the fixed fee. Providers can use different fee models, so compare the estimate with the actual order preview.
Costs that may affect a Bitcoin cash-out
- Spread: the difference between the reference price and the provider’s executable price.
- Trading fee: a percentage or tier-based charge for executing the sale.
- Withdrawal fee: a fixed or variable charge for sending funds to a bank or payment service.
- Network fee: relevant when Bitcoin must first be transferred to the selling platform.
- Currency conversion: an additional cost when proceeds are converted from USD to another currency.
